Mr Zindel;
I don't really know what to say here...
But you are amazing.
John and Lorraine are voices that have been in my head since seventh grade (I'm in University now). I would've killed to have friends like them in High School.
They, and by extension, you, are the reason I am going into Social Work.
Your books are amazing & fantastic & wow.
I love you & your books.
yours,
sonia.

Mr. Zindel,
I'm doing your book for a book report and love it. Though it was really sad when Mr. Pignati dies. Where did you get the inperation for Lorraine's mom? I like that you put some figurtive lang. here and there.
Thanks,
victoria

Dear Mr.Zindel,
This is going to sound just like many other messages you recieve..but there is no other way to say it. I just finished reading The Pigman 5 minutes ago and I was genuinely touched. I think what really hit home was the point that was made about kids being seperated from their parents during their childhood and cherishing what they had later. A parent and child relationship is something that I wonder about often. I am a teenager and probably wont have children for several more years but I often daydream about what my children will be like and what kind of parent I should be. I'm basing it off of what kind of parent I would like to have and believe it or not, I want someone who will have rules for me but who will understand me too. My parents are great but of course you know I have suggestions. Anywho... I really loved your book. Writing is the secret of life because that is how we share what we know and how everyone can communicate; no matter the time or age. Thanks for writing The Pigman. I look forward to reading some more of your books.

Mr.Zindel,
you've inspiered me greatly to write a book of my own and I'm just eleven. I'm no young adult but I love reading challenging books in fact I read Pride and Predjuidice when I was in the third grade! Have you ever felt different from everyone no resemblance in the slightest way at all because sometimes I do. :)
your friend,
Caitlyn
P.S. I read the Pigman Loved it.

We'll newer know how he felt - now, but - I red it when I was 12. Now I'm 29 and I still feel different then others. Stay as You are. It's good to be different and unique, no metter how much lonliness it takes - never change the being that you are so zou could fit the other's norms. God Bless

Does anyone know why the study guides are not working? I was hoping to teach "The Effect of Gamma Rays" to my English language learners and I just don't know where to begin! If anyone has previously downloaded the study guide, could you please e-mail it to me? You can reach me at CHUNPERRO@aol.com! Thanks!

Mr. Zindel - My English students are curious how to interpret Beatrice's nightmare in . . . Gamma Rays . . .
At one point, Beatrice seems to respect her father deeply ("made up for all the other men"), but then the appearance of his face in a window across the street seems to have nearly traumatized Beatrice. And the nightmare abruptly ends. Was her father having an affair with a neighbor across the street, and that's why this was a nightmare - the day of her discovering her father's infidelity? Or was he "keeping watch" over her in some non-physical way? Did you have one implication in mind? Thank you, and we love this play!

Hi Paul, in my class, we have just got finish reading The Pigman. I think that's a really cool book. I actually understand Mr.Pignati's loneliness, accept for the two eart attacks. I once tought I was lonely, but I realized, that my friends and family love me no matter what. They don't care how random I am Mr. Zindel, they're just glad that i'm am here and healthy. I can relate to Mr. Pignati. His wife died so, he was very lonely. I guess Mr. Pignati had someone but didn't know it. Sure, Lorraine and John are trouble makers, mostly John, but they have come to realize that this man (refering to Mr. Pignati) was a lonely man wit no one to look up to. Well, gotta finish this homework that's about you. Talk to ya later. ^^ :)
