Dear Mr.Zindel,
I am a grade nine student, and our English class was assigned to do a book report on one of the following books the teacher layed out for us to choose. One of the books was "The Pigman"
...I had no idea what I would be getting myself into by choosing your book. Reading the book daily, I could barely put it down. I would stay up late reading and wake up early to read some more of it. Early one morning while reading the Pigman, I did not realize how far I got into the book and finished it. in shock that I finished one of the greatest books ever, I didnt realize how much this book had an impact on my life and it realllly got me thinking about of lot of things. I am sooo sooo happy I chose your book and it is now one of my all time favorites!! and I am happy to say I have found my pigman, I did not realize I had a pigman all along untill I read your book.:),You are an amazing author and I love everything about your books.Thankyou for writing such an amazing novel, who know one silly book could turn out to be a life saver and one of the greatest books ever read!:P,
R.I.P. yours truely,
Misty.

He's the absolute best writer for me since forever! I honestly finally figured out what books were actually for as I became more familiar with the his works in his collection. Zindel helped me to understand how normal I was and how bizarre the world around me is. Thank you PZ

I do not know who to address this message to, but I know I need to say this. I am a seventh greater and the books Mr. Paul Zindel have written are one of the best things that ever happened to me. That day in my small school library when I picked up THE PIGMAN because I thought the name was just too funny, had to be one of the better days in my life. I think there was a reason I picked up that book that day. It inspired me more than anything else ever has and most likely ever will! I never dreamed I’d become so attached to something I came across accidentally. That one small book has changed my opinion on many things. To put my feelings in words could only be managed my Paul Zindel himself. My mind traveled farther than ever before as I read THE PIGMAN. THE PIGMAN was the beginning of a great adventure, and I am dreading the day that it will end. I've read nine of his books so far and hope to collect his whole works. My recent investments have been in his other books on the love and twisted friendships of teenagers. They capture my mind and I hope to never let them go! As I read these entreating books I found myself wanting to know this wonderful author whom I’d come to admire

The one thing I wanted the most was to meet him, to shake his hand and tell him the impact he made upon my life, but today I discovered from reading his obituary that he had passed away at the age of 66. I will confess that I cried when I learned of his death. I never knew him personally, but I felt I did. His books seemed to send me a message, a message that came from his heart and not the mind of his fictional characters. He had his heart set on connecting with those who had the most trouble in their life. His books weren't all happy ending fairy tales like the others. Call me obsessed, but I know these books were brought to my possession for a purpose. God meant for me to read those books, I know it! Those books alone have inspired me to write when I get older. I have recently started a journal in hopes to get this great technique he carried in his writings. I hope to help kids in the same way he did: Telling a story of life!
If I'm not mistaken Paul Zindel's son arranged this website, so if you see this contact me or hear me out! Anything would be a GREAT honor!

My class just got done reading the pigmen and when you had John and Lorraine kiss I thought they were going to get alot closer but they didn't they started hating each other. And I thought it was weird how the pigman died at the zoo when he found out Bobo was dead. Another thing I thought was weird was how after the pigman died John and Lorraine left the scene like they didn't know what was going on and they did not have nothing to do with his death. But overall Iloved your book it ended in suspense.

Dear Mr.Zidel,
My name is kelly Hudson and I'm a 7th grader at Lebanon Middle School and I'm writing this because i just got done reading your book the pigman.
The character I like the most in the pigman was John because I have a lot in common with him. One of the thing we have in common is we both have a smartmouth.
My favorite part of the boo is the begging of the book when it tell what all he does at school because i though it was funny.
I have 2 question i would like to ask you and they are one why did you let the pigman died and the another one is how did yo get the name bobo because I like that name
If i could change the book I would change th e end of t and let the pigman and bobo live in this book and died in the next
thanks you for writing such a great book and letting people like us read it .
Sincerey,
KellyHudson

DearMr.Zindel,
My name is Joey Church I go to Lebanon Middle School & we just got done reading ThePigMan. I'm writing this letter because I really enjoy reading your book ThePigMan.
The character I'm most like is John because I like to do crazy things. Another reason I'm like John is because I get in trouble a lot. I also like to do bad things sometime.
My favorite part of the book is the middle because it's were John & Lorraine skates down the escalator. Also I think that is funny rolling down the escalaors.
I would like to have two questions ask. The first one is... what is your favorite part of the book & why? The second question is... what made you like to write ThePigMan.
If I could change one part of the story it would be... the PigMan would change is when the PigMan die's because he is a nice lonly person.
I hope you have injoy what I have said. I really injoy reading your book. Also I look forword to reading more of your books soon.
Sincesly,
Joey Church
